Photographing on the island was a different experience. It nourished my personal relationship with the sea, giving me an intimate, leisurely gaze. I was looking for emotion behind the viewfinder.
The images take me back to a place and a time of shared emotions. They are a return to the origin of everything, to the family shelter and to my mother, as a channel of life.
Almost unintentionally, this work becomes a tribute, not only to her, but to a way of life that gives importance to intimate family moments. Apparently banal moments that fuel my soul.
